Hello all you astonishing bits of life force-
You may know I’ll be teaching in Australia this September and October. I am extreeeemely excited to be returning to Australia, seeing my Aussie friends again, and being in the one-of-a-kind environment that is Australia.
Robin Hill at Breathing Colours Gallery in Sydney, who is hosting my workshop series there, asked me to curate an exhibition of polymer and mixed media work, to open while I am there. I invited the fabulous Wendy Moore as my co-curator.Result? “A Sense of Place, A Sense of Time” will go up October 1, 2017 at Breathing Colours Gallery.
All artists from Australia and New Zealand, working in polymer clay and mixed media are invited to apply. We hope you will submit images of artwork that represent your relationship and response to the unusual, and the everyday, interaction with land, sea and sky that is peculiarly Australian. Additional details here, and more to come
Email us at senseofplace at toryhughes dot com with questions. More to come. Pass this around to AU and NZ artists. Thanks and good luck!
